Renaming tags

I only have option to assign colour or delete tag in the tag manager. I would like to rename tags. How can I do that?

You rename tags from the same menu. Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing?

That's the web library. Renaming is only available in the desktop app for now.

All documentation you see on this website is going to be about the desktop app, which is where you'll get full functionality. See Web vs. Desktop.

sorry I am new to this and couldn't see original thread. I couldn't see tags at all on the desktop app. Just realised I need to alter the box on bottom left of screen and now it says loading tags although it is being very slow

Unless you have some massive number of tags, the tag selector shouldn't take more than a second or two to load.

To start, make sure you have Zotero 7.

If you're still having trouble, can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through a minute or so of waiting for it to load everything, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?

I clicked on a different library and then went back to the original and they all appeared.
