citation question

when i copy a note from zotero to another software, it goes like this:

“mary of the best books of short stories published during the year; an index” (“The best American short stories of the century”, 2000)

how can i copy only plain text without reference and ""

    If you copy an annotation (a "note" is something else in Zotero), you'll get a properly quoted quote and a citation. If you just want the text, either by copying the extracted text from the annotation widget or selecting the text itself in the document by holding down Option/Alt while dragging instead of clicking on the highlight/underline.

    If you're using one of the Zotero word processor plugins, you can also add annotations to a Zotero note and insert the note into your document, which will add active Zotero citations that will show up in the bibliography. It will be possible to insert annotations directly without going through notes in a future update.
