Upgrade StorageDisable "creator database"?
I have an extremely large library in Zotero (over 100K items). Most items get their metadata automatically, but obviously some items slip through and need manual author tagging. The problem is that because the database is so big, adding authors is very slow. The flow is like this:
- Type name letter by letter, waiting for the auto-complete list to update each time.
- Wait one or two minutes when name is typed out
- Then continue to add more authors or more metadata.
If I do not do the waiting step, any additions to the metadata (e.g. volume title, date, etc) get deleted when the author addition operation times out. Or if I need to add another author, the + will stay greyed out anyway.
Is there a way to disable this database and auto-filling of creators, so that I can just type their names without having to wait for the auto-complete and database linking in the background? I understand that linked database is a core element of Zotero, so this may not be possible.
