Wrong author name order in metadata!
Hi there,
I've recently found that the order of authors' names is reversed when importing through DOI or retrieving from PDFs. Do some others meet the same problem in the latest version Zotero 7.0.11?
Or is there some setting incorrectly set?
Thx

Thanks for the reply.
The issue of the order of author names is only observed in the "info" panel, which does not show in my latex file (in Overleaf) after compiling.
I think the imported item does have correctly assigned name strings to the "firstName" and "lastName" variables, however, not displaying them in an intuitively normal order.
I am wondering why Zotero displays the name in such a way, or is it owing to an unexpected bug?
The example pdf is 10.1016/j.ypmed.2023.107454. Also, the screenshot is pasted below.

- it clearly distinguishes which is which (which can be difficult otherwise when there are several first names and/or last names);
- it makes it easy to sort author names in a reasonable way.
Zotero follows this convention, which is easily converted to the more intuitive format when necessary (as you observed in Overleaf). I don't think it is possible to reliably convert names the other way round.
