collection shortcut/bookmark at library level
Hi, first, thanks to the developers for creating such a remarkable software.
I'd like to make a feature request.
I have an extensive library, full of collections and subcollections. But most of the time I focus on a few ones.
I'd like a way to "bookmark" the mostly accessed collections, so I do not have to scroll down "my library" every time. So far, my workaround is to add "*" at beginning of most accessed collections to avoid scrolling, but within those I still have a lot of stuff and end up requiring a lot of scrolling.
suggestion:
Create another "Library" of collection shortcuts/bookmarks (Which could be called "Bookmarks"), that would appear above the main "my library". Ideally, I could drag and drop any collection there, and the shortcut/bookmark would be created.
Thanks a lot.
Best

Ideally, the shortuts/bookmarks should "sync" with the active collection (when I select shortcut, the associated active collection in the collection tree is activated). One problem here is that with large collection tree, the shortcuts "Library" would become hidden after a collection is selected. But this action is necessary. My guess, it might be possible now to emulate this feature at least partially via a saved search on the collection field (which will work properly only on library unique collections). But the idea is that I want to access the entire subtrees. Making collection copies, which, as I understand, is now possible, is not a good approach to this matter.
The shortuts/bookmarks "Library" would need to stay fixed visible at the top, which might be problematic to implement.
Possibly, splitting the collection pane in two vertically, with and placing the shortuts/bookmarks "Library" in a dedicated pane would do. Basically, the "Libraries and Collections" show what that thing might look like and the way is should work. The hierarchy would need to be shown in an on hover tooltip, and it should be possible to rename the shortcut.
Another unorthodox/radical idea is allowing multiple (independent in terms of cursor position) collection panes, so that if I work primarily with several subcollections at the moment, I would create the appropriate number of smaller collection panes stacked on top of each other. In each pane, I would navigate to on of the desired collections and, to switch between collections, I would simply use one of the panes with the desired collection in the view.
