MacBook Air M3 2024

One of my students tried to install zotero on her Mac but she couldn't open it. It was displaying the following message:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u799694/0io2gc0ftj22j2yffuci.png

Which translates: The zotero database cannot be opened.
Make sure that you have full read and write rights for all files in the Zotero data directory and that a security software does not prevent zotero from accessing this directory.

Is it possible to find a way of bypassing this problem?

It's really just what it says there. She may have transferred Zotero data from another computer and ended up with incorrect file permissions. She can fix permissions via Get Info in Finder, but we can't provide general OS guidance here. This isn't a Zotero issue — Zotero just obviously needs the ability to read/write to all files in its data directory.
