Lost all data question
I am a loyal user of zotero and I have almost 100+ documents stored with this program. However, a while ago I had a problem with not being able to log in to my account to synchronize, my original username is zpr97, and every time I log in I get the message “User canceled primary password entry”. So I registered a new account(zpr97) to try to synchronize, and it still says the same thing.
I then followed the instructions I found on this forum and deleted the “user/AppData/Roaming/zotero” and miraculously I was able to log in to my account zppr97 but unfortunately the message box that popped up said that I still had the zppr97 account in my computer. Unfortunately, the message box showed that I still had data from my zppr97 account on my computer, so I had to delete the previous data before I could log in to the new account. I clicked delete and switched accounts. Immediately after that all my papers and documents disappeared and I am now very sorry and helpless. These are all my references from two years of graduate school to PhD, I don't know how to retrieve these files, can you help me?

dstillmanWhen you switched the account set up for syncing, Zotero warned you that it would delete all local data for the old account, required you to check a checkbox saying "Remove all data for “[old account]” from this computer", and said to make sure you either had uploaded any data to the old account before continuing or had a backup of your Zotero data directory. Assuming one of those is the case, you can restore by either switching back to the old account or restoring from the backup.
