Upgrade StorageZotero 7: PDF viewer's "view citation" pop-up regression

I'm using Zotero 7 from the official tarball in Fedora Linux 41. Recently, even though Zotero had started using a new way to preview citations (i.e. a text pop-up where the links were clickable, the text was selectable and clear etc.) for about a week the PDF viewer has regressed to the previous iteration of this feature, where a view of the whole citation page is shown blurred with a red dot around the citation in question.
Is this due to a known bug that can be fixed? Am I the only one experiencing this? Any input would be welcome.
