Add last created file from folder

Zotfile had an option to attach the last created file from a specific folder.

Unfortunately Zotfile does not seem to be compatible with recent versions of Zotero.

Is there or will be an built-in option for that?

    No, that workflow has significant downsides compared to the recommended approach to add items using the Zotero Connector button in your browser. It isn’t something that Zotero will add or support.

    The Zotmoov or Attanger plugins replace most of Zotfile's functions in Zotero 7. Both do Attach New File - they take the latest-dated file in the designated 'attach' folder and move it to your designated linked files folder, as a linked attachment file. It's very useful when you receive a PDF in ways other than via the Zotero web connector, for example where manual/direct PDF download from a website is required, or by email.

    Zotmoov (https://github.com/wileyyugioh/zotmoov) seems to be exactly what I need.

    Attanger (https://github.com/MuiseDestiny/zotero-attanger) seems to be chines and I don't understand that language.
