Bibliography hover preview popup
I'm looking to find out what this feature is called. I'm writing a document in latex and have managed to make these work in zotero, but I can't find other pdf readers that allow it, so I can tell my students which PDF readers will allow them to see the citations like that.
Specifically I'm talking about when you have e.g. [4] and you hover over that, a neat black box appears that has pulled the specific citation from the bibliography and displayed it in a rounded corner black preview popup (not to be mistaken for the big full-page preview that shows up with a little red dot indicating the location of the citation).
Does anyone know what other PDF readers support this feature? I've tried foxit, adobe, mendeley, but none of them seem to have this, and at best show a little green highlight box.

dstillmanIt's just a custom Zotero feature — there's not some universal name for it. There might be some other academic-focused tools that do something similar, but if you want to tell your students how to have this feature…tell them to use Zotero?

tim820edited 10 days agoThe Google Scholar PDF Reader chrome extension has it (which then handles any PDF loaded in Chrome, not just those from Google Scholar).
