Zotero Connector Does Not Work on Mac OS X Firefox

Yes, my system and its applications are properly configured. In fact, everything is current, no pending installs.

In Firefox, no functions from Zetero are exposed to the user despite its seemingly being installed and properly configured!

As with any extension, you have to pin it to the toolbar:
