Word plugin not working since 7.0 upgrade

I recently upgraded to 7.0 and since doing so, I cannot use the word plugin.
I consistently get an error message saying "Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure Zotero is running and try again."

I cant find any guidance to solve this issue.

Zotero isn't able to update its plugin, so you're getting an error. You can try disabling security software and then reinstalling the plugin from the Cite pane of the Zotero settings, or you can reinstall it manually.
