I recently had to update my references to include DOIs. To my dismay, I found that Zotero does not collect that information as part of the reference. WHo can change this?!
Zotero does collect DOIs whenever they are available. Any reasonable database or academic journal website would include them, and the Zotero Connector would save them in the item's metadata.
If you click through to the publisher from Google Scholar, you'd typically get better metadata and also the DOI.
If you import using the DOI, Zotero will store the DOI. For item types that don't have a DOI field (like book chapters), the DOI will get stored in Extra and used in citations.
Hi, I have tried DOI Manager and do like it. However, it doesn't work for me for books and book chapters. Is this expected behaviour or can I change something so it also looks up DOIs for books and book chapters?
How do you add items to your Zotero library?
