Incorrect citation of works with the same authors and date for APA 7nd edition
Hi,
I'm writing a paper with the APA 7nd style, and when I cite papers with the same authors and same year in text they are disambiguated by including the second author's last name, instead of adding 'a', 'b' or 'c' after the year, as recommended by APA (https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/citations/basic-principles/same-year-author). I've double checked the style guide version and I'm using the most recent one (updated on 2024-08-27).
Perhaps the style behaves this way because the order of the authors is different for the two references, or else I believe the style guide might be incorrect and should be updated.
Alternatively, could anyone help me in editing the style guide manually so that I get (Author 1 et al., 2023a) and (Author 1 et al., 2023b) instead of (Author 1, Author 2, et al., 2023)?
I'd be really grateful for any help!
