**One-Click Insertion**

Is there a one-click insertion feature that allows references to be accurately inserted into the correct position in the text after locating it?
  • Not sure what you mean by that. Can you say more?
  • When inserting references, a significant amount of time is often wasted because references for different paragraphs cannot be inserted simultaneously. Therefore, it would be highly desirable to develop a feature that enables one-click insertion of all references for the entire document. If such a feature has already been implemented, that would be fantastic. If not, I have a suggestion.

For example, when editing text in Word, we could temporarily replace the target reference in the desired location with a placeholder, such as "RRR1." In the reference management software, this reference could be encoded or marked as "RRR1." When using the Zotero plugin in Word to insert references, the reference marked as "RRR1" would automatically be inserted into the location of "RRR1" in the Word document. Similarly, "RRR2" would be inserted into the location of "RRR2."

Currently, to insert two references, I need to determine the order and position of both references and click "Add" twice to insert them. With the one-click insertion feature, a unique code could be used to identify each reference, allowing all references to be inserted by clicking "Add" just once. This is a simple idea that I hope will be helpful for developers to consider.
  • Replaceable placeholders are essentially supported by RTF Scan.
