Cannot edit text without writing over it

I turned on the thing in word that allows zotero to write over text so that I can insert my in-text citations but now when I go to edit something, it writes over the existing text. How can I fix this because its really annoying!

    In Word Options -> Advanced you need to uncheck "Use overtype mode" and you may want to uncheck "Use the Insert key to control overtype mode". If the latter checkbox is checked, accidentally pressing [Insert] On your keyboard will put Word into the mode where typing over text overwrites it.
