Problems with numbering quotes in google document

Hello. Help me with my problem. I downloaded Zotero for Mac and the extension for Chrome. Installed and launched, everything was fine. When I started to enter citations in Google documents using Zotero, at one point the numbering got lost. Let me explain: I enter citations in order and they are indicated in order (1) (2) (3), but then when I entered (4) the fourth citation for some reason began to be indicated as (1), although it was lower than the previous ones. What style are you using? Depending on the style, it could be sorted alphabetically or by the order of appearance in the text.
