Copy and Paste Items

Greetings, I have collections for each chapter in my book. I added a chapter in between two other chapters and of course, that did not change the order of my chapters in Zotero. So I copied and pasted the contents of one chapter into the empty chapter/collection and was planning to delete the items in the collection from which I copied the items.. Then I found out that the proper way to do it in a mac is by using command and then drag. Since there's no undo feature, and I'm concerned that If I delete the items form the copied collections it may screw things up.. Can someone please give me some guidance in the best way to deal with this mess I've created? Thanks

What exactly do you mean by "Copy and Paste"? There is no copy & paste functionality that copies items between Zotero collections. Do you just mean drag&drop? In that case removing the items from the original collection (make sure to use "remove from collection" not "move to trash") will work just fine for what you want.

You might be right. As I think about it, maybe I did drag the items. I'm old and memory fails me at times.. Thanks for the response..
