Z7 Bug: Data transferring from one item's Abstract field to another item's Abstract field

If
(1) I add a new item (item A) to my library,
(2) begin adding text to Item A's abstract field and
(3) **before exiting out of the abstract field of item A**, I add another item B to my library,
then,
(1) the entire abstract of item A automatically gets copied to item B's abstract field *instead* of item B's actual abstract which never gets extracted.
(2) all the text I added to item B's abstract automatically gets removed from Abstract A to Abstract B.

Can this issue (occurring for several weeks now, since Z7 update) be resolved?
