Can browser extensions support mobile devices?

Can browser extensions support mobile devices? Can they use APIs to save web pages or papers to the Zotero online database? Thank you!

    On iOS, you can save to the Zotero iOS app via the share sheet in the browser. It works just like the Zotero Connector.

    Android, unfortunately, doesn't make that possible, but we might be able to offer the Zotero Connector on some Android browser in the future and support saving to the online library that way.

    Aren't Firefox and Brave supporting desktop addons? There surely is a different path/api to use to connect to Zotero, in my non-dev mind this could work.
