Can you reproduce this in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins?

Yeah, this bug seems to be caused by Better BibTeX plugin, which is probably the most widely used plugin. But does it really caused by the plugin itself, considering that 7.0.10 has a major bug with citekeys?

(Zotero 7.0.10 does not "have a major bug with citekeys", because Zotero doesn't have any functionality related to citekeys. We added a new way for plugins to create rows in the item pane in 7.0.10 and announced it on the development list. That new method had a bug in it, which we're fixing for the next version, but no one forced the developer of BBT to switch to it without confirming that it worked. Plugin developers are responsible for ensuring a suitable user experience when making changes in their own plugins.)
