no toolbar button after installing Zotero 7 and reinstalling Chrome connector

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling connector and resetting Chrome as per
https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_toolbar_button

when reinstalling I fleetingly see toolbar button, but it immediatey disappears

Did you look in the Extensions popup, as explained on that page?
