Drawings as Notes
It would be great to have drawings as a new kind of note type. As a visual thinker, I often find that making a visual mindmap of a subject is more helpful than taking textual notes.
I am not talking about the draw feature in annotations but as an alternative to textual (standalone/item) notes.
We can experiment as a plugin first like https://github.com/018/zotero-excalidraw (which uses excalidraw as the canvas drawing library).
This would become very powerful if support for markdown and math were to be added in these drawings, as seen in the video on this tldraw feature request: https://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/issues/1736
The drawing data could be stored as standard JSON files like https://jsoncanvas.org/

Mark_2Seconded! I would love to have this feature too. For me, it would make Zotero a fully-fledged knowledge management tool, superior to Obsidian, etc.
