Upgrade Storageupdating citations

I've been using googledocs and all my citations are appearing as "updating" hyperlinks, when I clink on them they say "Selected field ----- not returned from Docs backend" and if I try to add a bibliography or unlink citations I'm told I need to add a citation before preforming those actions. on a different doc citations seems to be adding fine so I don't know what the issue is
