Better BibTeX omit author
I'm using Better BibTeX pandoc cite keys while writing in Scrivener, then compiling to export as a docx file, and running the word processor extension of Zotero to convert them to dynamic citations following APA author-date style. It is working well.
I have found that if I add the page number after the cite key in the square brackets, this works fine to include the page number in the dynamic citation on conversion (e.g. [@gudynasNewExtractivism21st2010, p.62] gives me (Gudynas, 2010, p.62) as a dynamic citation).
However, I can't work out how to replicate the omit author function that is present in the word processor extension for Zotero, generating a dynamic citation that is just the year in brackets for cases where the author has been mentioned already in the sentence. I've searched around but can't find anything that would suggest this is possible by adding something alongside the cite key. Is there something that I could do to achieve this that I'm missing?
Thank you.

"A minus sign (-) before the @ will suppress mention of the author in the citation. This can be useful when the author is already mentioned in the text:
Smith says blah [-@smith04]."
