Shift-Enter for entering multiple tags

I just downloaded Zotero 7 and it seems I can no longer add multiple tags. Before, I could use Shift-Enter to get a larger text entry box for entering multiple tags at once. This was extremely useful if I was adding the same tags to a bunch of things, since I could just cut and paste four or five tags and add them quickly. Is there some other work-around now or am I doomed to enter each tag one a time? Thanks!
  • You can still paste a newline-separated list of tags and accept it with shift+return, that hasn't changed. Shift+return doesn't open a large window anymore -- it just goes to a new tag entry -- but you don't need the large window to paste tags.

That said, I do see what I think is a bug where it adds a final tag that's all of the previous ones concatenated: when I paste
    Tag1
    Tag2
    Tag3
and hit shift+return, I get those three plus a fourth tag Tag1Tag2Tag3 (this is 7.0.10-beta.1+913c50073 (64-bit) on Windows).
  • I don't think I follow -- how do you do a newline-separated list? I have only ever done it by opening a large window.
  • You just copy a list of tags which each tag on a new line
  • Or did you mean you can just enter them all in one at a time? That is what I'm trying to avoid. E.g, I am taking notes on a work by Martin Luther. I want each note tagged with Luther - Reformation - Primary - Male Views. Then I can add whatever is specifically relevant to that note in individual tags. But I may have 50 notes that will have those four tags, so before, I could cut and paste and add them each in one go. Now it looks like the only way is to do each one individually?

Ahh, I see -- ok! That works. I didn't know you could do it that way. It's easier opening the larger box, since you can do it all in one window, but this will work. Thanks so much.
