Syncing local Zotero with web Library

I used an installed version of Zotero on my computer for literature management. In order to work with colleagues I'd like to add the literature curretnly saved on my Zotero on my computer into my Web Library. My Web Library is currently empty and I cannot sinc it with the Zotero installed on my computer. After looking at all FAQ etc I still can't understand why the two are apparently not connected.

Make sure you've set up syncing:
