Persistent Zotero Storage Quota Issue After Purging Files

I'm experiencing persistent issues with Zotero's file storage quota. Despite purging my storage multiple times, I still receive alerts about a large PDF that Zotero tries to sync, even though I deleted it from my library. I've taken several troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling Zotero, resetting the file sync history, unlinking and re-linking my account, and disabling attachment file syncing. Still, the storage quota alert continues to appear. When I go to my account online and purge the storage, it initially shows that the library has been cleared, but upon refreshing, it shows my storage is still full. It seems Zotero is holding onto a reference to the file in its sync cache, which I can't clear on my own. Any advice on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Of course, I'm on a deadline.
  • It's not clear what you're trying to do with the Purge Storage option, but it's almost certainly not what you're looking for.

Can you 1) explain exactly what your goal is and 2) provide a Debug ID for a sync that produces the quota error? You currently have 1.5 GB free.
  • But if there is one large file -- like a 2GB one -- that would be local, not online, and the error message would tell you what it is.
