Quick Copy (Drag and Drop) in to OpenOffice
I can't help feeling that I'm missing something, but there seems to be something wrong with the way that some of the styles work with Quick Copy and Drag and Drop work in OpenOffice (I haven't tried this on Windows). When I drag a reference in to a document I get html formatting - I've appended some examples - regardless of the status of the Copy as Html option.
<div style="line-height:1.1em;margin-left:0.5in;text-indent:-0.5in;"> <p style="margin:0">Bhana, Surendra. 1997. <span style="font-style:italic;">Gandhi's Legacy: The Natal Indian Congress 1894-1994</span>. University of Natal Press. <span class="Z3988" title="url_ver=Z39.88-2004&ctx_ver=Z39.88-2004&rft_id=urn%3Aisbn%3A0869809318&rft_val_fmt=info%3Aofi%2Ffmt%3Akev%3Amtx%3Abook&rft.genre=book&rft.btitle=Gandhi's%20Legacy%3A%20The%20Natal%20Indian%20Congress%201894-1994&rft.publisher=University%20of%20Natal%20Press&rft.aufirst=Surendra&rft.aulast=Bhana&rft.au=Surendra%20Bhana&rft.date=1997&rft.isbn=0869809318"> </span></p> </div>
When I copy in to a field like this one, the Copy as HTML option works. I'm not sure if this is by design (can't see why it would be) but it would be very useful to be able to drag dynamic references in to Writer from the main Zotero pane.
