Zotero and PDF

Hi there,
My Zotero add is not accepting PDF files on my chrome and microsoft edge brower. I tried two different browsers thinking it was the issue but nothing changed. I have also searched all the information I got online and that was where I notice that I can report in this forum. My Report ID is: 934290714. I hope that this is fixed soon because I really need this as soon as possible.

It's not clear what you mean by that. Can you explain exactly what you're trying and what's happening? See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need.

My Zotero does not extract citation or references information from PDF files on my browser. It displays, "Can't read or change site data" any time I want to do this. Most of the files are PDF. I never encountered this error when I was using MacBook earlier this year, but ever since I downloaded Zotero on my Lenovo, I have been experiencing this problem.

Also, the citations from websites like MDPI appear as Web Page in my zotero. So I have to change it to journal and type all the information into Zotero. I have attached screenshots of this issues.

You can't use the connector on files opened from your disk (you will see file: at the beginning of the URL).

You can just drag them from your file system (e.g. the download folder) to Zotero, though
