Issue with Google Docs plug in

I've used the Zotero plug in for Google Docs for a while now and have noticed that it often has a problem with displaying the pop up menus. For instance, if I choose to add/edit a citation, the pop up with the red search bar will not appear at the top of my open windows - it opens up behind other windows, and I have to go find it. It does not always do it, but I can't figure out how to intentionally correct it. Any ideas?

Unfortunately Zotero has limited ability to control this although it does its best. Minimizing Zotero (by pressing the _ button) makes this happen more often, so we recommend switching away from Zotero to another app without minimizing, which might help.
