Access pdf on disk directly from pdf reader?

When reading a pdf document in Zotero pdf Viewer, I often need to access the actual pdf file on disk. The fastest way I can accomplish this currently (both in Zotero 6 and 7) is to

1. Right click the top of the tab in Reader
2. Select "Show in Library"
3. In the library, right-click on the pdf attchment of the item
4. Select "Show in Finder" (I suppose on Windows it will say something like "Show in File Explorer")

This will open a finder window in the file's location and I can process it further from there.

Let me know if there is a better way, but if not, I'd like to suggest to make the "Show in Finder" option available directly in the pdf Reader. There are several places where such an option would fit well:

1. The context menu presented when right-clicking on the tab in pdf Reader.
2. The "Locate" button in the new navigation pane on the right.
3. The attachment section in the pane on the right (e.g. right click the file there to get it as a context menu option)
  • "Show in Finder" shows when you right-click the parent item, not only its PDF attachment. But there's currently no way to access "Show in Finder" directly from the reader.

What are you doing with the file once you locate it in the Finder? There may be a simpler approach to the overall process you're using right now.
  • Two things mostly:

    1. Open in my TTS reader app
    2. Open in Adobe Acrobat to remove cover page and fix page labels
