MHRA CSLs not rendering shortened footnotes properly (Zotero 7).

Previously MHRA CSLs rendered shortened footnotes correctly as "Author 'Shortened title'." but since moving to Zotero 7 the shortened footnotes appear only as "Author.". This is the wrong format as per MHRA style guides.
  • The MHRA rules actually changed between 3rd and 4th edition: in the 3rd edition, MHRA wrote:
"The abbreviated reference will normally be the author’s name followed by the volume (if applicable) and page reference:
    McArthur, p. 62."

That's what CSL implements, adding the short title when multiple works by the same author are cited; so the behavior is correct for the 3rd edition MHRA style.

In MHRA 4th edition that changed:
" The abbreviated reference will normally be the author’s name followed by the
title (abbreviated where appropriate, for example by dropping any subtitle),
volume number (if applicable), and page reference:
Kokobobo and McFadden, ‘The Queer Nihilist’, p. 125."

We didn't catch that change when updating to the 4th edition; we'll fix that.
  • New style now available.
