Android zotero on my tablet - can't turn off a highlighting mode?!

I'm using android zotero - when I'm in draw mode, or highlight mode, for example, I can't turn them "off" again to just get back to scrolling through the document?! So I can highlight something....but then when I need to turn highlighting off to carry on reading, trying to scroll down on my screen just highlights everything.. Not sure I'm making sense but hopefully someone can help!! Probably a silly question.....
