issue loading app

I have a zotero profile online which I am included in a group folder. When I go to download the app to my mac, it seems that I have another account. It includes previous studies that I had found earlier in the day, but the group folder is not there. When I look at the group folder on the website, I can see the groups saved items, but no longer my older ones that I see on the app. Any suggestions on merging these 2?I don't recall making 2 accounts. I have tried deleting and uninstalling the app and redownloading it but get the same results.

An account isn't required to use Zotero, so it's entirely possible you were just using Zotero locally without syncing. Check the Sync pane of the app settings to see if it's logged into an account. If not, you can just set up syncing, and then you'll see the group locally.
