moving annotated pdfs from group library to my library

I use group libraries for current projects, but because of limited storage capacity, after the project is done, I would like to move it to my library with all the files with the comments and annotations made uring the project. However, when I move them now, it's onyl the original pdf, witout the annotation. Is there a way to solve this?

(and yes, I'm aware I can keep the group library as a read only on my PC zotero, but it has the obvious downside of being read only.)

Assuming you originally dragged the file from your personal library, you need to delete the original before dragging the one from the group — you're not currently copying it at all otherwise.

(In a future version, Zotero will be more helpful here and offer to update the version in the target library with the changes from the source library.)
