PROBLEMS FROM PUBMED TO DOWNLOAD PDFs

Hi, about a week ago, every time I do a search in pubmed and download references, if these references have free pdf attached, it does not download it with the bibliographic reference to Zotero, do you know what could be the reason.

I send you several images about the process

You may be thinking of PubMed Central, which hosts full-text PDFs. PubMed doesn't - the "Full Text Links" go to publisher catalog pages, which then contain PDF links. Zotero has never supported downloading those automatically, but we can look into adding that.

But PubMed Central articles (as at least the first two are) should he in unpaywall so Zotero should grab them via the OA PDF function, no?
  • Right, good point. It is grabbing OA PDFs for those articles now, but it wasn't when I tested (and evidently earlier in the morning). Probably just a brief outage.
  • When using the connector on Pubmed, Zotero grabs full-text pdfs (and not the Pubmed Central pdfs) regularly. At least with the types of literature I save, maybe most of the time. For example, I just saved a Science Advances item from Pubmed, and the debug log shows the pdf being downloaded from www.science.org.

This saves me a ton of work, so thank you!
