Feature Request: Split view icons in top taskbar of PDF reader/Smart Popup configuration

One thing I used a lot in Zotero v6 was the two split view icons in the top taskbar that were added by the Zotero Reference plugin - see below. However those icons did not make it into the v7 version of that plugin (due to some feature overlap with Zotero v7's Smart Reference Popup ?). As well as just opening a split view quickly when you wanted one, if you clicked on a hot link embedded in the PDF (citation, figure, table, etc) there was also an optional setting to *automatically* open a split view and jump to the clicked element (eg jump to the reference in the reference list).

Even just having the split icons in the taskbar is such a useful feature IMO that it would be great to have it as standard in Zotero.

Furthermore, given that a few people have found the hover Smart Reference Popup to be overly intrusive in PDFs that have a lot of such links, a melding of the above auto-split view behavior with more configuration options for Smart Reference Popup might be desirable. For example, settings for:
"Hover action on PDF Page Links": Do Nothing/Smart Popup
"Click-on action for PDF Page Links": Do Nothing/Jump to Link/Split View (horizontal) and Jump to Link/Split View (vertical) and Jump to Link.
