Zotero 7 issues on MacOS Sequoia

Since updating to MacOS Sequoia on my MacBook Air, I have started to notice the following issues:
I am unable to export PDFs from Safari
I am unable to save anything on Microsoft Office platforms (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
However, the issues were resolved as soon as I deleted Zotero from my computer.
I have found this extremely strange, and have even consulted with Apple advisors. It is just very frustrating, because I have some I have been using Zotero for close to a year and annotations/papers on my account are crucial for my research.
Is there a way this can be fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am unable to export PDFs from Safari
I'm not sure what you mean by this. Zotero shouldn't have anything to do with just saving a PDF to disk in Safari — it shouldn't even be able to interfere with that, and if it does that's some sort of Safari bug. Can you explain exactly what you're doing, step by step? Are you saying the problem goes away if you disable the Zotero Connector in the Extensions pane in the Safari settings?
I am unable to save anything on Microsoft Office platforms (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
I don't know what you mean by this — we really need you to say exactly what you're doing, step by step, and what's happening at each step — but there's essentially no way anything like this is caused by Zotero. Zotero has nothing whatsoever to do with any Office program other than Word, and the Word plugin doesn't affect saving by Word itself.
  • I have tried reinstalling the operating system on Mac and even erasing the Mac. However, nothing works. I first checked if I am able to export PDFs (from the Print window) before downloading Zotero. However, as soon as I download Zotero, it doesn't work. Safari freezes and then nothing happens - I need to force quit. When I delete Zotero from my Mac, I am able to export PDFs again.

I have noticed the same with saving files on Microsoft platforms.
  • Can you make a screen recording that shows you 1) reproducing the problem in both Safari and multiple Office programs, 2) deleting Zotero from Applications, and 3) successfully performing the operations in Safari and Office? Upload it somewhere (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and email it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
