Saving sources on Chrome but they're not populating my Zotero?

Hello, I'm brand new to Zotero, and I'm not sure what I'm missing here. I just downloaded whatever version is most available on a computer running Windows 10, plus the Chrome connector. I am trying to save this page (https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4907/12/8/1085), but when I click on the Zotero button in my browser, it turns into a grey document icon and nothing else happens. I have closed and reopened Zotero and it's still empty. I've made an account and synced it, still nothing. I really don't want to add citation info manually, so I would really appreciate any help on this!
