Question about "as needed" syncing
Hey,
Is there any detailed documentation of "as needed" syncing that explains exactly what it does? I couldn't find any, but I may be searching badly.
Basically, I'd like to keep *all* of my files online either through Zotero sync or WebDAV, but only a subset of them locally at any given time. This sounds like it's exactly what "as needed" would do, but I wanted to make sure, and find out how/when files are removed from local storage and downloaded.
(If it matters, I'm currently on a mac, but do use iOS sometimes, I may start using Zotero on an android tablet once that's out of beta.)
Thanks!

Currently downloaded files are kept permanently unless you deleted via right-click → Show File, but a future version of Zotero will make it possible to control how long local files are kept for in order to limit disk space usage.
iOS uses "as needed" file syncing by default.
