Zotero stuck on updating your document

macOS 15.0.1, Safari 18.0.1, Zotero 7.0.7.

Zotero Connector is only enabled in my Safari working profile.

When updating citations in Google Doc, Zotero Connector asks for Google account permission. After granting permission, the window will not close by itself, despite allowing Zotero Connector to read and alter every webpage.

Multiple attempts to restart Zotero/Safari have no effect.

Is this a Safari or macOS profile? Does it work in a new temporary macOS user account?

It is a Safari profile. I have switched to Chrome 129.0.6668.91 on the same computer and everything worked.

Also I tried to enable Zotero Connector on all Safari profiles and it does not make any difference.

Could you test to see if it works in a new macOS profile?

I tried on a new account and it works!

And it works on the old account now, too. Mysterious indeed.
