Greetings: Zotero 7.0.7 (64bit) running under OS Windows 11 Pro is unable to import ris file generated from Gifted Child Quarterly (Journal under Sage Publications). Error message when attempting to import: "The selected file is not in a supported format

I need to import all of the volumes since 1957. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

    You can import all the articles in the page showed in your screenshot from the connector:

    Also there is a difference in the ASCII characters between the RIS you can download and the RIS you can copy.

    Example with the first line of the RIS from the first paper (pp. 6–11):
    Downloaded:
    $ echo TY  - JOUR | od -An -vtu1
    84 89 194 160 32 45 32 74 79 85 82 10

    Copied to clipboard:
    $ echo TY - JOUR | od -An -vtu1
    84 89 32 45 32 74 79 85 82 10
  • I wonder if it would be possible to update the RIS translator to automatically detect and remove the ASCII characters 194 and 160 between 89 ("Y") and 32 (" ").
  • @poettli Thank you for your suggestions. Yes, I am able to download references on the pages via the browser interface. Thanks for pointing out the difference in the ASCII codes. No sure if I will be bothering with trying to resolve the issue. It was just annoying to not being able to import the .ris files. Many thanks for your advice.
