Online account - 100 students

Hi !

In one course, approximately 100 students were invited to create their account during the course itself.
There was a lot of bugs, error 404, most could not create their account at the time.

This had already happened with version 6 of zotero.

Does this create a load on the zotero server or is it something else? Should we avoid asking 100 people to create their account at the same time on zotero?

Is this at a small institution like a high school or a very small college? I can't imagine server load being an issue, but if they're all on the same IP address, I'd not be surprised you'd see blocks and related errors.

(Since this runs through the website, Zotero 6 vs. 7 is immaterial)

Thanks, yes it is a high school, about 1'000 students 150 employees.
unless I am mistaken we have 4 IP addresses but the IT department favors 1 only if I understood correctly

Sorry I did not understand the technical consequence of this*, in relation to the bug raised ?
