How to add a field to the Info panel

I would like to add the "Publisher" field to the "Info" panel.
(so that I could add for example: "Oxford University Press")
I ticked the "Publisher" item in View / Columns but this did not result in the addition of the "Publisher" to the Info panel.
Is there a way to add a field to the Info panel?

It depends on the Item Type of the selected item. If not available on the selected item, you can use the "Extra" field to add this information.
