zotero is very to insert linked citation in google doc

zotero is very slow to add/insert citation in google doc i am a newcomer and i want to add some citation & ultimately create bibliography but the processing time of inserting citation is a lot slow this is creating too much friction to work in doc file and i cannot work around
i was hoping the experience people give me some suggestion regarding how they approach they workflow with minimum friction (can someone suggest me some faster way & any tips & tricks
i already switch off automatic update feature
