Persistent "Zotero would like to access data from other apps" notification

Hey, I am getting this message (see picture) when I add a citation the first time after opening Zotero, subsequent added citations do not produce this message. Restarting both Word and Zotero does not fix it.

It started after upgrading to MacOS Sequoia, and I couldn't find anyone else reporting this as a persistent issue in the forum (or at least I couldn't find it). I saw in the changelog for Zotero 7.0.6 it might have to do with the Word plugin, but I have reinstalled the plugin several times now. I do have two user profiles on my Mac, both using Zotero but with separate libraries/users, could that be reason for this persistent message?

  • Could you provide a Debug ID for restarting Zotero and attempting to insert a citation?
  • Of course, here is the debug ID: D577452481

(I had no idea about this debugging ID functionality, how neat!)
  • Did this dialog window pop up for you when you pressed the Add/Edit Citation button? Does it appear before any Zotero window appears, or during citation processing?
  • The dialog window appears when I have chosen a citation to add, so just before Zotero adds it to the Word document. So it does not appear when I click on the Add/Edit Citation button, but when I hit return to add it.
  • Thanks, we're able to reproduce this and are looking for a fix. We'll update this thread when we have something.
