Citate pdf / Pdf zitieren

Hello,
I‘m having a problem with citating pdfs. It‘s possible to store them but to citate them just doesn‘t work. If I want to citate it in the document, it can‘t be found.
Hope someone can help!

ich kann Pdfs nicht zitieren. Das speichern in Zotero klappt zwar, aber beim Versuch zu Zitieren scheitert es.
Freue mich über jeden Rat!

A PDF could be many different types of bibliographic items. You need to create a parent item for the PDF by retrieving metadata or right clicking and choosing Create Parent Item. See https://www.zotero.org/support/retrieve_pdf_metadata

Feel free to just write in German.
