Error message when trying to sync library: Error: api.zotero.org uses an invalid security certificat

I'm trying to sync Zotero and getting the following error message. I'm working on a Mac running macOS Sonoma 14.7 and I've just downloaded Zotero 7.

Your connection is likely being monitored, and Zotero has not been configured to trust the intermediate server.

The message means what it says: "Your connection is likely being monitored, and Zotero has not been configured to trust the intermediate server."

Well, I've contacted our IT department and they said there's not a problem at our end.

What do you see as the certificate info in step 3?

I'm not seeing any steps. I open the desktop version, click on the sync icon, get a pop up to enter my username and password, and then get the error message.

Thanks, appreciated. Still can't get it to resolve but I guess I at least have more info for my own IT department? Oy.
