wasn't there some DOI-like fields etc. planned for additional items?

Currently I have a PhD Thesis which has also an ISBN and ISSN and Thesis UiS No. as identifier.
But the thesis type doesn't have those identifiers...

Then I have a Report which has a DOI:
But the report type also doesn't have DOI.

Wasn't there some development going on to add those identifiers to more item types?
Got it stuck somewhere? Can we help somehow?

    Adding new fields to existing types is planned, but it’s rolling out slowly. You can add any of these identifiers to the Extra field like this:

    DOI: 10.1234/567890

    When the proper fields are added to these items, the data from Extra will be migrated automatically

    ok, that is kind of a workaround, but I hope to have not to stick with it for the coming years... :thumbsup:

    As an extension to this question, and the use of the Extra field as a workaround: what is your preferred separator for multiple additional fields (eg DOI: and ISSN:)? Comma? Semicolon?

    Unfortunately, my team and I don't have the skills to assist with the development work with Zotero, but if there's any other way we could contribute, please let me know. As we say here in Australia: Love your work!
